Macaroni Craft ~ Homework Survival Kit

By Julie Dikken September 11, 2014
Keep your kids motivated and on-task when it comes to getting homework completed with a Homework Survival Kit. This simple-to-create kit keeps everything a student will need to complete their homework readily accessible, eliminating the need to search for supplies in the middle of an assignment.

What you'll need:
  • A sturdy plastic box with lid
  • Permanent markers in various colors
  • Supplies to fill box. Some ideas include: Loose-leaf paper, Graph Paper, Pens, Pencils & Sharpener, Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils, Scissors, Glue Sticks and/or Tape, Ruler, Calculator, 3 x 5 Cards, Flash Cards, Kitchen Timer
Super-simple instructions to assemble:

Have your child decorate their Homework Survival Kit using permanent markers. Fill box with grade-appropriate supplies.

I like to have a box for each child so they can quietly work on their projects without having to wait for turns. For fun, I will leave notes in their box to find as they are working, or even add a "Smarties" Candy or Hershey's "Kisses".
