We got to play with the K'NEX Amazing 8 Roller Coaster kit last weekend, and it was a big hit. Although there wasn't enough time to finish the construction and watch the motorized coaster in action, the kiddos didn't seem to mind; they were just having fun constructing.
What I like about K'NEX:
- Good for all ages. In fact my elementary-age kids still play with their "Kid K'NEX" from when they were in preschool.
- Boys and girls equally like playing with them.
- I like having "rods" and "connectors" to work with. You're only limited by your creativity in what you can build.
- The rods are flexible, so you really have a lot of options.
- Good activity the whole family can enjoy together.
- K'NEX are bright and colorful.
Parents will want to know:
- Some of the pieces are teeny and can get lost in your carpet. Or roll under the couch. Or chewed up by the dog.
- The Amazing 8 Roller Coaster has 448 parts. You don't want to lose any of them!
- The Amazing 8 Roller Coaster requires 2 AA batteries, not included.
- The Amazing 8 Roller Coaster is recommended for ages 7+. In my opinion a 7-year-old would not be able to build this independently.
