Shark Mania is a shark-chomping chase game. Race to Shipwreck Island, grabbing gold as you go. But watch out for the shark – he’ll crash through the path and knock you out of the game! The pirate that makes it to the island with the most gold wins!
The kiddos at the Macaroni Kid Toy Time party were really excited to play this game, and it was a definite favorite! My son and a few other kiddos spent about 45 minutes playing the game, and they seemed to be having a blast. My son said, “It was cool.”
Parents will want to know:
- There is assembly required before game play can start. It took my 3rd-grader and his friend about 15 minutes to get the game set up, though one of the parents did step in to help.
- The game has moving parts - a string set up with a sort-of pulley system. You’ll want to caution your children to treat the game delicately, as we had to repair this mechanism after a couple games were played.
- Shark Mania is recommended for ages 6 and up. Six-year-olds will likely need help getting things set up, though they can play independently after that.
