Publisher's Note - March 29th - It's Egg Hunt Season!

March 30, 2023

Hello Macaronians!

Our team has been hard at work behind the scenes gathering all the local Egg Hunts and other fun Easter activities into our Easter Guide for you! It seems like there are fewer events this year, so if you know of any that we don't have I'd love to hear from you! I just added the links for our neighbor site Egg Hunts too so you have even more to look at.

We made it safely home from Scottsdale last Saturday. It seemed like an epic drive, everyone was tired and cranky, and all of our normal stops were overrun with other Spring Break travelers. But it was good to get home safely and settle back into normal life. Of course we were welcomed home by snowfall, which was not cool! Now we have a couple weeks of regular life before we head out on our next adventure to New York City for a week, which I'm really looking forward to.

On Sunday I took my daughter to the Piper Rockelle show. She's a youtuber who does challenges and sings a few songs, and the concert was really fun. It was my daughter's Christmas present and we upgraded to the VIP Meet and Greet which was the best part. My daughter even got to do a Tik Tok with Piper, and she signed her Piper Rockelle sweatshirt. Hopefully that one will live in her memory for a long time, it certainly will in mine!

I attended the Thornton Area Chamber of Commerce's networking event on Monday and met a lot of great local business owners. It was particularly exciting to meet my contacts at Johnny's Steakhouse, a Macaroni KID Thornton, Northglenn, Westminster partner. These ladies have so many fantastic ideas to make Johnny's our go-to entertainment in the area. We had a lot of fun brainstorming ideas that I think you're going to love. Stay tuned for a lot of really fun stuff from them! (Plus, kids eat free there on Mondays, sounds like a good excuse to get out of the house for some Italian food!)

My son went to reiki today with Kristi at Inspired Family Reiki and Healing in Thornton today. He's been having a hard time sleeping and getting nightmares, and reiki seems to really be a relief for him. Kristi is fantastic with kids, so if you're dealing with something with your kiddos she's a great resource to go to. (I see her more frequently now too and it's been really, really helpful!)

We're SO excited to see Disney on Ice tomorrow night! It's coming to the Budweiser Center in Loveland this week and the Coliseum April 6 - 9. We love going up to the Budweiser Center because it's much more chill than the downtown options. Parking is free and the concessions are less expensive, plus the venue is smaller so it seems like a more intimate setting. Will we see you there? Grab your tickets here!

Soccer season has started for us and both kids are playing this year. Which means we have soccer practice almost every night and games on Saturday, yay, lol. I do really enjoy watching the kids progress throughout the season, it's just a big commitment. They both have their first games this weekend and it will be fun to watch!

Phew, that's enough from me this week. I hope you've gotten out and about in our community to support some local businesses and made some memories with your kiddos. I'll see you in your inboxes next week!

Peace, love, and macaroni,

Susan
