Publisher's Note - June 9th

June 9, 2021

πŸŒͺ️ Did you see the tornado this week? It was a little too close for comfort! We were at 4H archery practice when the sirens were going off, my kids usually hit the ground or run when those go off, and somehow this time they kind of just watched the adults look up at the sky. It was sad to see the destruction of property and farms in the areas where it touched down though, lots of clean up and restoration to be done.

πŸ›ŒπŸ·πŸ“š I spent a night alone in a hotel for my birthday on Friday and it was strange and refreshing! It was very, very quiet and really nice to only have to worry about my own needs for about 24 hours. As I was settling into my room I realized that my mind couldn't stop racing, probably because it's having to constantly think about what's next. I had no idea that was happening until I had a few moments of complete silence. It was very worth it to step away for a bit! I highly recommend it for any other moms, we all need a refresher at some point. It doesn't even need to be in a hotel. Just decide to lock yourself in your room for a while and ask your partner or a babysitter to take over for the night.

πŸ•οΈ We're heading up to River Run in Granby soon. It's one of our favorite camping resorts because of all the amenities, especially with the kids. We also rented a pontoon boat for a morning during our visit and I'm really looking forward to cruising and fishing on the lake.

I hope you all have a great weekend, I'll see you in your inboxes next Wednesday night!

❀️ Peace, love, and macaroni!
