If your kids love animals you need to check out The Giggling Life Care Farm in Thornton for summer activities!

The Giggling Life Care Farm is special for a lot of reasons, but the most important one is Kristi – the owner. She has a BS in psychology, a master’s in education, has studied life coaching for the last eight years, and is certified in Equine Assisted Coaching and Pet Therapy. 

Kristi creates a safe place for children to work the earth and care for animals while healing the mind and body through agricultural and animal-based activities.

Kristi believes that children should learn the importance of living each day with gratitude, believing in themselves, being kind, finding their passions, and believing they can achieve their dreams - and she helps them learn this with animals! But she doesn’t just focus on self-growth and empowerment. She also helps kids learn how to get through difficult times, work through self-confidence issues, and deal with grief too.

The Giggling Life Farm is a lively property with horses, a pony, two donkeys, a small steer, dogs, pigs, lambs, bunnies, ducks, and lots of chickens!

Summer Camp at the Giggling Life Care Farm

Camp at The Giggling Life Care Farm is a hands-on program designed for children of all ages to work together in completing everyday tasks on the farm, all while teaching them very important life skills! All projects are done outside in the pasture while learning about how to properly interact with, take care of, exercise, groom, and love the animals. Activities include:

• Learning proper interaction skills with the animals
• How to properly feed, groom and exercise all animals
• How to clean animal stalls
• Relationship building and trust exercises with the animals
• Setting and achieving goals while working as a team
• Learning anatomy and other information about each of the animals
• Coaching exercises with animals on how to overcome obstacles, build confidence, trust, and patience
• Equine Spa Day

2022 Programs

This year The Giggling Life will be hosting the following Summer Programs:

2 Day Farm Fun Program:
Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday from
9-12:00. These programs will run each week during summer.
COST: $165 siblings $150 (payment plans available)

4 Day Farm Fun Program:
Monday-Thursday 9-12:00  
3 hours of fun with the animals and lessons of the week!
COST: $315 siblings $300 (payment plans available)

4 Day Half Day Riding Combo Program:
Monday-Thursday 9-12:00
1.5 hours spent with horses - 1.5 hours spent with animals/lesson of the week.
COST: $380 siblings $365 (payment plans available)

4 Day ALL DAY Riding Combo Program:
Monday-Thursday 9-3:00
2.5 hours spent with hours - 2.5 hours spent with animals, art, and lessons of the day!
COST: $650 sibling $635 (payment plans available) 

Each program requires a minimum of four kids in order to host a program.
