2024 Día del Niño Celebrations at Local Denver Metro Venues

April 25, 2024

El Día del Niño (Children's Day) has been nationally celebrated in Mexico every year on April 30 since 1925. Children are considered to be an important part of society, and the day focuses on the importance of loving, accepting, and appreciating our youngest citizens. Schools and businesses host special events with face painting, story-telling, art workshops, and plays.

In partnership with the Mexican Consulate General of Mexico and the Mexican Cultural Center, several Denver metro venues are hosting Día del Niño festivities this weekend. Families will enjoy free general admission along with special activities and performances.

Throughout the week and weekend:

  • Anythink Libraries: Connect with the diverse cultural richness of Hispanic cultures through music, art, and dance at various libraries throughout the week. Activities will vary by day and library location.
  • Denver Public Libraries: Fun activities for children and adults include the Día del Niño Lotería, English/Spanish storytimes, crafts & food (piñatas and paletas), dance, Mariachi, and other family-friendly entertainment. Activities will vary by day and library location.
