When my daughter was four, she was constantly twirling and whirling around the house. She loved to dance so much, and I knew it was time to get her signed up for dance classes. That's when someone recommended Premier School of Dance and she started in their Combo I class. That was three years ago, and she's still loving all of her classes at Premiere School of Dance!
Creative Dance is an 8 week session specifically designed for the youngest dancers. This 45 minute class introduces children to fine and gross motor movement, creative movement,socialization, music, rhythm patterns and use of props; all in a structured and caring environment.
Combo I classes at Premier School of Dance is for four and five-year olds just getting started. It's an hour-long class that introduces the basics of Ballet and Tap. Dancers learn how to follow directions, follow classroom structure, and use creative expression. Once they've completed Combo I, they'll move onto Combo II, which is for five and six-year olds. Here, they'll learn more difficult basics of Ballet and Tap, and prepare to move onto any of the Level One classes at the studio. Both Combo classes are offered during weekdays, and it's a great activity to keep them active during the week.
Our daughter took both Combo classes, and had a wonderful experience. She loved learning from Ms. Karin and Ms. Michelle, who are wonderfully patient and kind, but also firm in their expectations. My daughter loved sharing new moves they'd learned that week in dance class with us at home (and anywhere really), and the Winter and Spring Recitals were the highlight of her young life. She loved being on stage and wearing the fun costumes! Her dream was dancing in Premier's Nutcracker (they perform the second half of the Nutcracker every year), and last year she started Ballet I and fulfilled her dreams! This year she's taking Jazz and loving it!
We love Premier School of Dance because they're a family oriented studio with an emphasis on high quality dance training and traditional style. They concentrate on age appropriate technical training with tasteful performances and are committed to spreading the joy of dance in our community!
