πŸ₯‹πŸ₯‹ Meet Master Mike of Universal Taekwondo in Thornton

February 15, 2019

I really love introducing you to small business owners in our community, especially businesses that have made an impact in my family’s life.

Which is why I love sharing with you about Universal Taekwondo. Both of my children attend (my seven-year-old daughter is a yellow belt and my four-year-old son is in the Little Dragons program) and we love the life skills we see them developing as they progress in their programs.

I’ve shared before about why we love Universal Taekwondo and their programs, but today I wanted to introduce you to Master Mike, the owner of Universal Taekwondo.

You can check out our video below, or you can keep reading!

Master Mike has been involved with taekwondo for almost 30 years, and started Universal Taekwondo 23 years ago to make an impact in our community. He wanted to help local kids develop social, emotional and physical health along with strength – all important things for developing kids. In addition to teaching classes in his studio, he offers a few classes in local schools to introduce kids to taekwondo. If they’re not able to continue with classes in the studio for whatever reason, he hopes that during their short time together he’ll be able to instill some of the confidence, respect and discipline that students learn in his taekwondo program.

As a parent, I really appreciate his commitment to my children’s growth. He makes sure that discipline and self control are underlying factors in everything they do, but he does it with compassion and encouragement. Here’s a little snippet of him teaching the Little Dragons:

If you're looking for a great activity for your kids that will instill self confidence and discipline, I can highly recommend Universal Taekwondo!
