Have you seen the renovations at Boondocks in Northglenn?
My family went last week to check it out, and it looks great!
To start our visit we headed outside, where the attractions haven’t changed, but they’re just as fun! We whirled around the racing track, climbed way too high on the ropes course, got soaked on the bumper boats, and putted our way through 18 holes. What has changed is that there’s now a new bar near the doors to the outside area, so you can grab an adult beverage before heading outside.

Then we headed inside to play a couple rounds of laser tag, checking out the new bowling lanes, play in the updated arcade, and enjoy a pizza ($10 for a large on Tues/Thurs) in the restaurant.
We loved the new bowling lanes! They’re been totally refreshed and have new Brunswick Bowling Software. After we got our gorgeous bowling shoes on, we entered everyone’s name into the software. We could decide who wanted to use bumpers (and could even change that half way through our game). The kids had a blast, and I think this is the first time they’ve actually watched the scores while bowling. We could also order food and drink directly from servers in the bowling alley, my husband and I enjoyed a beer while we were having fun bowling.

The restaurant before the renovation felt a bit like a cafeteria, and now it feels like a nice family restaurant with a beautiful bar as the focal point. Boondocks also updated the event spaces with this renovation. The now have two rooms - one holds 120 guests and the other holds 72 guests (and can be combined to hold 192 guests). Both rooms are fully equipped with Audio/Visual equipment including in-ceiling projectors for presentations.
I had heard about the unlimited specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays (check that out here https://www.boondocks.com/northglenn/specials/), but I didn’t realize that many of their arcade games are also free with the unlimited package. (It seemed to be most of the ride type games that were free, the games that give out tickets still have a fee.) We spent so much time racing motorcycles, snowmobiles, and cars – it was a blast! I have to admit I’m a bit of a penny pincher when it comes to the arcade games, and don’t let the kids play too many of them. But on Tuesdays and Thursdays you can get your fix!
We went on a Tuesday afternoon and ended up spending six hours at Boondocks! The kids were exhausted and we all had a blast! Now that school is out, take some time to exhaust your kids at Boondocks, they’ll have a great day!
I was given free passes to come check out the Boondocks renovation, but all opinions are my own!!
