Publisher's Note - October 27th - Happy Halloween!

October 28, 2021

πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ Halloween has arrived! Are your little ghouls ready? It's nice to be excited about a holiday in a way that hasn't happened over the last couple years, it almost feels normal! Don't forget to check out our Halloween Events guide if you're looking for fun things to do, and if you haven't checked out the local Pumpkin Patches yet, head here!

πŸ•°οΈ Why does last week feel like it was so far away? I don't know, but it's been a slow and quick week all at the same time.

πŸ‘©‍βš•οΈ I finally went back to have my regular check-up with my primary care physician. Have you done that in a while? I know it's not the most fun thing, but I'm encouraging you to get it on the calendar. Your kids need you healthy, so if you can't wrap your head around doing it for yourself, do it because your kids need you to be here for a long, long time!

πŸ”₯ We had the opportunity to get together with two sets of friends over a campfire this weekend - on both Friday and Saturday. I do love how we're focusing more on being outdoors, and hanging out around the fire has been a fantastic addition to our regular friend's meetups. Our neighbor put together a fantastic s'more spread for us too on Saturday, I could've eaten so many different combinations with what she put out! My favorite was a big swipe of peanut butter with Hershey's chocolate (but I also love nutella on my s'mores too!)

πŸŽ₯ I took the kids to see Addams Family 2 on Sunday, and I will admit that I slept through a good portion of it. It was not what I was expecting, and I didn't really enjoy it, but the kids actually did!

πŸ›Έ Then on Tuesday, we resurrected our Mom's Movie Night out since stopping because of the pandemic (because it's $5 on Tuesdays) and I saw Dune with a friend. It was incredible, I highly recommend it, especially on the big screen!

❀️ My husband and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary this weekend. He made a big dinner on Sunday reminiscent of our wedding dinner to celebrate, which was very sweet, and delicious! It feels like forever and yesterday all at the same time, and how life has changed since that day 13 years ago!

🏝️✈️😎 I think the highlight of my week was booking a winter trip to Mexico for my family! There's no better way to celebrate finally getting the kids vaccinated than going to the beach! We're going to an amazing family-friendly all-inclusive that one of my fellow travel agents stayed at a few weeks ago and couldn't stop raving about. Want to get some Spring Break plans locked in your family? Don't forget I'm not only your Macaroni Kid publisher, but I'm also a local travel agent! I've got all the inside scoop to find a fabulous customized vacation that fits your wish list and budget. Send me an email (susan@elitetcagent.com) if you're ready to plan something together! (And my planning services are FREE for clients who book with me!)

That's it for me this week. Enjoy Halloween festivities with your kiddos! And then the countdown to Thanksgiving and Christmas begin!
