If you're a Minnesotan you know what a Juicy (or Jucy) Lucy burger is, but if you're not familiar, you can give one a try right here in Denver!
The Juicy Lucy is a burger with the cheesy goodness right inside the burger patty. They're a handful but so juicy and cheesy! It was "invented" sometime in the 1950s in Minneapolis, although there is some controversy about which bar it actually originated in.
Lucy's Burger Bar was recently opened on Tennyson by two Minnesota natives and they have the original recipe for these delicious burgers! They also have crispy fries and an incredible grilled cheese sandwich (that my son loves so much he'll even eat the crust!)
The owner went to my high school back in Minnesota, so as soon as we heard what she was up to we headed over to give it a try. And the burgers are delicious! If you're out and about in the downtown area, hop over for a Juicy Lucy, I think you'll love them!
