It's time for the City of Northglenn's annual Fishing Contest and Bike Derby at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Derby Day Schedule of Events

8:30am - 10am | Fishing & Bike Clinic
10:30am | Derby Awards Ceremony
Fishing Contest
Anglers ages 2 to 14 are invited to participate in this exciting event. Bring your own pole, tackle, and bait. A lawn chair or picnic blanket is also recommended.
- FREE!
- The first 300 kids will receive a goodie bag.
- Awards will be presented at 10:30 a.m. in six age categories and for the overall longest fish.
- Each winner will receive a fishing pole, tackle box, and trophy.
No registration is required to compete in the fishing contest.
Bike Derby
Starting at 8:30 a.m., the Northglenn HEAL committee will host a bike derby and obstacle course for youth.
- FREE!
- Northglenn will provide the bikes and helmets.
- You can also learn how to make minor repairs to your bike during a free workshop.
- A limited number of refurbished bikes and new helmets will be given away at the event.
