Anythink Libraries sure knows how to have a good time! From storytimes to cooking classes, hands-on projects to live entertainment, their event calendar is loaded with opportunities for visitors of all ages. Take a peek at all the fun to be had this July and be sure to register ahead to book your spot at these popular kid-friendly events.

Foam Party | Wright Farms
Saturday, July 2, 10-11 am ~ Ages 0-6 ~ No Advanced Registration Required

Join us for a special program intended for our youngest Anythinkers — miniThinkers! Come dressed for a foam party in our backyard and be ready to play, sing, talk and write as we explore early literacy skills.


Star Wands | Anythink Bookmobile
Wednesday, July 6 and Saturday, July 9 ~ All ages ~ No Advanced Registration Required

Create a magical wand that is sure to grant all the summertime wishes of your friends and family. Build your own wand full of glitter, rainbows and magic. All supplies are provided on a first-come basis.

Nature's Educators - Super Snakes | Huron
Wednesday, July 6, 3-4 pm ~ Ages 6-18 ~ No Advanced Registration Required

During this presentation, visit with a variety of snakes! Discover ways to identify which snakes are venomous, learn what snakes eat and how they find their prey, and find out where they live.

Fairy House Scavenger Hunt | Wright Farms
Monday, July 11 through Saturday, July 16, 9 am-5 pm ~ All Ages ~ No Advanced Registration Required

The Anythink Wright Farms’ backyard has some new fairy inhabitants. Pick up your scavenging kit at the children’s desk and begin your search for clues!


Celebrate Tanabata with JA-NE (Japanese Arts Network) | Brighton
Tuesday, July 12, 3-4 pm ~ Ages 7-12 ~ Registration Required

Tanabata is a festival in Japan that is known as the “Star Festival.” It is rooted in an ancient children’s story about star-crossed lovers in the sky separated by the Milky Way. The lovers’ wish to come together is only granted once a year on July 7. Also known as the “Day of Wishes,” children and adults celebrate Tanabata by writing their wishes on colorful strips of paper and hanging them from trees and bamboo branches. Learn more about Tanabata and write wishes as a traditional Japanese haiku poem.

The Magic Wish Show - Comedy, Magic, & Juggling | Perl Mack

Join us for an afternoon of laughter and entertainment at this comedy, magic, and juggling show with Ann Lincoln. Visit with Ann’s trained bird and bunny after the show.


Star Party with Mobile Earth and Space Observatory (MESO) | Brighton
Friday, July 22, 8-10 pm ~ All Ages ~ No Advanced Registration Required

Learn about the night sky and celebrate the summer constellations with the Mobile Earth and Space Observatory (MESO). Use telescopes and spectroscopy to engage with the night sky in new ways. A star-themed snack will be provided. This program will be held outside.


In The Clouds | Wright Farms
Saturday, July 23, 9:30 am-5 pm ~ All Ages ~ No Advanced Registration Required

Join us for a full day of cloud-themed activities starting with Cloud Yoga at 9:30am and continuing at various activity stations set up throughout the library. Activities include cloud racing, cloud crafts, and cloud hunting.


mySummer Finale Party | Huron

Celebrate the end of another amazing Colorado summer with a foam party! Share your summer adventures with us while enjoying refreshments, foam, and music.


Pinwheels - Wishes with the Wind | Perl Mack
Friday, July 29, 10:30-11:30 am ~ Ages 8-12 ~ Registration Required

Celebrate the renewable and powerful energy of the wind, as we create pinwheels. Test your creation’s power by converting wind energy to mechanical energy in this STEM experience with 4-H.


mySummer Finale Party | Perl Mack
Saturday, July 30, 11 am-12:30 pm ~ All Ages ~ No Advanced Registration Required

Celebrate the end of a magical mySummer with fun activities for all ages. Walk through a sky full of bubbles from our Bubble Tower, paint with think360Arts, and enjoy time together with family and friends. Food and refreshments will be provided.
