Friends and neighbors are invited to share their “light” at Anythink Wright Farms for a one-of-a-kind nighttime event marking the end of Anythink’s 2022 mySummer program.
Saturday, July 30, 8-10 pm
Anythink Wright Farms
5877 E. 120th Ave., Thornton
Enjoy a night of festivities, wishes, and whimsy at “Illuminate the Night,” a free program held under the stars in the Anythink Wright Farms backyard.
- Artist-in-residence Helen Hiebert will be joined by experts from MESO (Mobile Earth + Space Observatory), HawkQuest, moon yoga instructors, and more.
- Denver-based musician Jonah Wisneski will perform music ruminating on light, stars, the night sky, and community.
- Anythink staff member Paris Singleton will recite spoken word poetry throughout the evening.
- Refreshments will be provided.
Families who attended Hiebert’s paper lantern-making workshops earlier this month are invited to bring their handmade lanterns* with them. Event attendees will come together at the end of the night for a procession around the library, singing songs and finishing their parade at Hiebert’s “Step Into the Light” installation, creating a moment of reverence while shining their light in the dark.
*Lanterns will be provided for anyone who did not attend the workshops.
