In partnership with Lafayette’s Poet Laureate Z Bass Speaks, WOW! Children’s Museum is hosting a poetry contest around the theme of wonder. Participants (between the ages of 5 and 12) are encouraged to submit an original poem that highlights how wonder impacts their own lives.
The poetry contest will run now through January 31, and winning poems will be announced during an artist reception in early 2023.
Winning poems from three age groups will be used to create artwork on display in the Museum:
- 5 to 7-year-olds
- 6 to 8-year-olds
- 9 to 12-year-olds
