Our Visit to Disney Animation: Immersive Experience + Visit Tips

By Enter the incredible worlds of Disney.... a must see for every Disney fan! March 16, 2023

We've got the inside scoop on the new Disney Animation: Immersive Experience open NOW at Lighthouse Immersive in Denver! Our family went last week and it was a magical experience! If you love Disney characters, stories, music, and magic, this is a must-see!

Our Visit + Tips

When you enter the experience you'll first enter a holding room to wait for the main show. In this room you'll find lots of animation-themed exhibits and activities for all ages. Most people were gathered around the character drawing instructions, but there were lots of things to explore there.

When the doors open to the main experience, head in and find a bench. The northern wall (the one on your right as you enter) is probably the best viewing area because it doesn't have an obstruction, but make sure you're pointed toward a corner because different things will pop up on different walls. Our kids ended up sitting on the floor, which worked perfectly because they'd frequently wander off to explore something on the screen or floor. The experience is incredibly friendly for young kids too! No need for them to sit in their seats the entire show, many kids were up dancing throughout the whole thing, which was fun to watch!

The experience is about 50 minutes long and takes you on a journey through amazing compilations of your favorite Disney characters and songs. We loved that the villains were even featured in a couple of compilations too! The walls and floor are part of the show, and sometimes the floor will be interactive, which my kids were very into. They'd keep checking if anything moved on the floor anytime the animations changed. There are also fun surprises that pop out of the ceiling to make the experience that much more memorable.

(No characters are at this experience, but your kiddos will be able to get up close and personal with them on the screen!)

I was so excited to attend this experience, these immersive events have been really fun, but I knew Disney would do it in a way that others hadn't, and I was not disappointed!
