Hello Macaronians!
Why does last week feel like it flew past and also lasted 100 years? Probably because my kids were sick last week and it was also a short week coming back from vacation. It was a doozy! (Oh and it was the worst part of Mercury Retrograde along with an eclipse, that didn't help.)
The biggest part of our week was my daughter's birthday party sleepover (which she had recovered in time for thankfully!) and all of our sports. The slumber party was a huge success, although I'm not sure they got much sleep and I definitely fed them lots of sugar. My daughter decided her favorite book - The Keepers of the Lost City - would be the theme for her party, so we pulled out Atlantis and the Black Swam for decorations and the cake. It was pretty fun, and these parties get so much easier the older the kids get! (My son is already talking about his birthday party in July now, I guess we're back into planning!)
Soccer was canceled on Saturday thanks to that random snow, but Sunday was a beautiful day for volleyball and flag football! This weekend the kids have their soccer games at the exact same time, and my husband is out of town, so I'm going to just stand in between the two fields and look like a bobblehead watching both kids play, should be fun, but at least the weather will be beautiful.
Next week is my daughter's big production of The Little Mermaid through her homeschool program. My Mom and a family friend are flying in to see the show, so it will be fun to have a full house. I can't wait to see my daughter's performance, we really haven't gotten much of a preview, so it will be fun to see.
