Publisher's Note - May 3rd - The Little Mermaid

May 4, 2023

Hello Macaronians!

These last few weeks are starting to all blur together, we've had so much fun but I'm exhausted. It will slow down now, right? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

We made it through the week with my husband out of town. Normally it's not too big of a deal when he's out of town, but this last week was somehow a lot. The kids are in the Brighton soccer program so I feel like all I did was drive to Brighton! I'm very grateful he's back and can take some of that over again.

This week was my daughter's big performance as Sebastian in her homeschool program's The Little Mermaid. My Mom and a family friend flew in on Monday to see the show, so I visited the airport several times (especially after picking my husband up on Sunday), and then we had a big dinner and a backyard fire together.

We got to see The Little Mermaid twice on Tuesday and it was so fun to watch. My daughter gave a stellar performance, the whole cast had worked so hard throughout the year!

This morning our guests were still in town, so I made reservations at Babe's Tea House downtown and we enjoyed a special and delicious tea together.

We dropped my Mom off at the airport afterwards and came back for a quiet afternoon. Then my husband and son headed to the Rockies game (checkout this recent article about deals and promos to make baseball outings easier on the budget) and my daughter and our friend went for sushi as a belated birthday dinner for my daughter. We tried a new restaurant called Yonsei at 120th & Holly and it was so good!

Did you make any special memories with your kids this week out in our community? There are so many opportunities in the coming weeks, our editorial calendar is jam packed with ideas to keep your families out and about while the weather tries to change over to Spring!

Have a great week and I'll see you in your inboxes next week!

Peace, love, and macaroni,

Susan
