Hello Macaronians!I hope you had a wonderful week with your families, the weather sure seemed great, except for the lingering smoke.
We had a quiet week, which was nice! It probably felt quiet because soccer is officially over, which was four nights a week and two games on Saturday. It was a fun season but super happy that's OVER! We had flag football and volleyball this week, and then I had my monthly Supper Club. This month was special because the daughter of one of our members is in the restaurant industry and made a special meal for us, it was so fun! It felt like a belated Mother's Day dinner with my girlfriends, it was so nice to be served and enjoy the company of friends!
On Monday my son had reiki, which he loves so much, and then we went to a graduation party for a neighbor. I remember when they moved in and he was so young, the time goes so quickly, doesn't it?
Last night we went to the media night for Bounce Empire and knew it was going to be huge, but you don't realize the enormity of it until you're inside the building. It is epic! The Broomfield and Brighton publishers were there too, along with our friend Christy from Slides and Sunshine, so it was great to watch all the kids bounce around together while we caught up. The food they shared with us was delicious too! The pricing is hourly per person, but they're running a special based on purchases. For every dollar you spend on food and beverage, you'll receive a $2 credit for park access. So, if you go as a family of four and spend $100 on food, then you'd have $200 for park access, which would be two hours (it's $25/person/hour). Which I think is a great deal, based on the pricing of other indoor entertainment venues. The second-floor VIP lounge is fantastic too because it has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing you to see most of the attractions and views of the security cameras throughout the entire park. If your kids are old enough, you can enjoy dinner and drinks in the VIP lounge while the kids bounce themselves to exhaustion! They also mentioned kids dance parties with a DJ on Saturdays. They officially open on Thursday, but we're working to get more information from them to pass along to you so we can keep you in the know! Stay tuned for more videos from my visit on Instagram and Facebook! Check out a Facebook live I did onsite here.
We're heading off on our great Midwest road trip soon! We'll be seeing lots of family along the way, and one of our stops will be at the Field of Dreams movie site. I've been there twice (that's what happens when you have so much family in Iowa) and I'm so excited to take the kids. To prepare for our visit we made time to watch the movie this week, and the kids absolutely loved it! I hadn't seen it in forever and really enjoyed watching it again too. I think it will be pretty magical for the kids to walk out onto the field now that they've seen the movie, hopefully it will be a memorable part of our trip.
That's it from me for now, hope you've had a great week!
Peace, love, and macaroni,
Susan
