I work with so many families to plan their perfect family vacation to Mexico, and I love it. Moms typically come to me overwhelmed by all the resort options and aren't sure which ones to pick. I love working with them to find the perfect fit for their vacations, and I'd love to do that with your family too, but I thought I'd share a list of my current favorite resorts that tend to check a lot of boxes for families I work with!
Nickelodeon Riviera Maya
This resort is known for its incredible waterpark. I love how the waterpark is split into three areas so all age groups will be entertained, even the littlest guests. All guest rooms have two bathrooms, each with a shower, which for families is an incredible perk - so. much. sand! Each room also is swim-out (with a secure balcony door), either onto a pool balcony or the resort pool. The resort does a fantastic job with entertainment and character interactions. Plus their food is some of the best all-inclusive food I've had!

Dreams Playa Mujeres
The Dreams brand is one of my favorites, they always take great care of my clients. This particular resort is a favorite because of the waterslides, water play area, and rock climbing walls. It's also situated in a beautiful area of Cancun that's known for its (typically) sargassum-free beaches with gorgeous turquoise waters.

Planet Hollywood
This is a great resort for families who like to stay entertained during vacation! With water play areas for all ages, a FlowRider, and a lazy river, everyone will be entertained. Planet Hollywood also offers a great selection of 1 and 2-bedroom suites, fantastic for families. Guests can upgrade to Star Class for even more attention and amenities!

Hotel Xcaret
Looking for something distinctly unique with fantastic service and delicious food? Xcaret is one of my absolute favorite resorts in this destination! Not only are typical all-inclusive amenities part of your vacation, but the entrance fees to ALL the Xcaret adventure parks (and food while you're there) are included too. It's a fantastic value!

Royalton Splash
This is one of the newest family resorts in the Cancun area, and we're hearing lots of fantastic feedback! (But aren't getting great images as you can see, which is a bummer!) Focused on water fun for all ages, your kids will be entertained all day!

All of these resorts offer fun kids clubs too, so it doesn't have to be all about the kids, you can sneak in some adult time at dinner or on the beach.
What's it Like to Work with a Travel Advisor?
I'm with clients through the entire process to answer questions, do additional research, and share my tips. And if any issues come up, I'll be right there to help find the right solution.
- I typically do a quick intro call with clients (but can do that over email too, I know you all have so much on your plates) to learn all about the vacation they have in mind.
- Once I have all that info, I'll get to work and find the best fits and present these options.
- Then we chat about what they love, what might be missing, and then sometimes look at some new options. Once they've made a decision, I work with them to place the deposit and get everything locked in.
- With the vacation booked we do specific destination planning to make their trip even more special. For theme park clients we'll discuss Genie+ and advance dining reservations. For tropical destination clients, we'll talk about arrangements that may enhance their visit - excursions and dining reservations if necessary.
- A few weeks before travel I send all the appropriate travel documents they need to make their travel seamless.
