Frederick, Colorado is home to the annual "Frederick in Flight" hot air balloon festival. The event attracts thousands of visitors each year who come to witness the colorful spectacle of dozens of hot air balloons filling the sky. The festival also includes live music, food vendors, and activities for all ages.
The hot air balloons launch each morning at sunrise (generally around 6am), providing a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Visitors can even sign up for a FREE tethered hot air balloon ride and experience the thrill of soaring through the sky.
In addition to the hot air balloons, the festival also features free yoga in the park, food vendors, and a beer and cider garden.

Thursday, June 22: 4pm-6pm
Head over to the Administrative Services building (311 Fifth St.) for Information Station 2023 to learn about Frederick In Flight! You'll find event information, activities for kids, popsicles, and a local business gift card giveaway.
Kid-friendly activities include the following: interactive art, watercolor art, chalk art, and bracelet making.
Friday, June 23: 5am-6am
Start the day with breakfast vendors as early as 5am. A presentation of the National Anthem will take place at 5:55am before balloons lift off in Centennial Park.*
Saturday, June 24: 5am-9pm
* Breakfast, National Anthem, and Balloon launch will run on the same schedule each day- weather permitting.
Enjoy free yoga in the park with Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District at 6:30am. Complimentary tethered balloon rides will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 7am.
Balloon Bash in Centennial Park will offer glowing hot air balloons, live music, free kids activities, and loads of food vendors from 5pm to 9pm.
Sunday, June 25: 5am-6am

Frederick in Flight has been a beloved tradition and continues to grow in popularity each year. It's a must-see event for anyone visiting the area and a great way for locals to celebrate their community.
