With the roaring success of its for-profit dinner theater in Johnstown, The Candlelight has decided to expand.
A proposed 32,000-square-foot facility is headed to Thornton sometime between 2026 and 2028. The venue will seat 900 guests for a wide range of entertainment events such as Broadway-style musicals, plays, and concerts. Though it will not be a dinner theater like its predecessor, the new theater will offer food and beverages for purchase.
Though unnamed at this time, the new performing arts venue does have a location. It will be built one block west of Washington Street between 162nd and 163rd avenues, east of Top Golf and Costco.
