Hello Macaronians!
Our Local Halloween Events guide is overflowing with spooky, family-friendly events in the coming days. I hope you find the perfect one to enjoy with your kids!
What were we up to this week?
- We had a very quiet week and weekend, just our normal activities of theater at the Arts HUB, taekwondo at Universal Taekwondo, and robotics. We threw in their annual checkups and an orthodontist visit too. So not much to report from the last week!
- I did get the house decorated for Halloween, which I think is probably the earliest I've accomplished that task. As the kids get older, it's easier to get that stuff done earlier!
What are we up to next week?
- My daughter's school is having its Halloween event on Friday. (And of course, it didn't register that I needed her Halloween costume by then, queue frantic Amazon ordering 🤦♀️ But it arrived today and is perfect!)
- We're going to see The Prom at the Arts HUB this weekend. I've never seen the show on stage, but I loved the movie!
- It's another quiet weekend, so hopefully, we'll watch some movies and enjoy the cooler weather.
- We're going to try skipping the weekend at Anderson Farms and going on Monday afternoon. I don't think we've done that before, and I think we'll have good pumpkin patch weather—not 80 degrees!
- I'm off on an adventure next week, too! The women's networking group I joined (Polka Dot Powerhouse) has its annual conference in Boise, and I'll be heading there for some rejuvenation and networking for a few nights. I'll be going on a full-day wine tour before the event, and during the event, there's a fun dance party night and an awards gala. The weather will take a steep drop in temps just in time for my visit, so that's throwing my wardrobe for a loop, but I'm looking forward to exploring Boise for a few days!
That's it for me this week. Have a great week with your kiddos!
Peace, love, and macaroni,
Susan
