The City of Thornton and Anythink Libraries are thrilled to announce the GRAND OPENING of the new Thornton Community Center on Saturday, October 26th, from 11 AM - 6 PM at 2211 Eppinger Blvd., Thornton.
Join in for a day of fun, food, and festivities as both organizations and the community celebrate the opening of this incredible new facility.

Thornton Community Center Project Partnership
Anythink Libraries and the City of Thornton have partnered to build a new Thornton Community Center, which will include a 10,000-square-foot Anythink library among the 40,000-square-foot facility.
“This unique partnership between the City of Thornton and Anythink will create an incredible gathering space for the residents of Thornton and Adams County,” says Thornton Parks, Recreation and Community Programs Director Doug Romig. “The facility will serve our community in a way that I am not aware exists anywhere else, and we are excited to see this vision come to fruition.”
Located in south Thornton and will feature a variety of amenities, including:
- A modern library: Access to books, magazines, and digital resources.
- Recreational spaces: A gymnasium, dance studios, and a boxing gym.
- Shared spaces: Perfect for community events and gatherings.
- Teen area: A dedicated space for young adults.
- Children's space: Fun and educational activities for kids.
- Makerspace: Tools and equipment to spark creativity.
