Hello Macaronians!
βοΈ It's a snowy and cold week, which I don't love, but I loved seeing a couple of memes this week that in only 70 days, it will be πΈ Spring!
We finally got our π tongue tie releases done (after that frustrating string of November and December illnesses π€ delayed us). We're three days post-procedure, and the changes are already fascinating! Following Brittany's guidance at Joyful Breathing, we're doing our post-op stretches π and seeing daily improvements. While we're still on soft foods π due to some discomfort, things are getting better each day—I even enjoyed a slice of pizza π yesterday!
What were we up to this week?
π Sleepover in Lakewood: My daughter had a fantastic sleepover with her friends from Keystone Science Camp down in Lakewood. We made the most of those long drives π by stopping at Christy Sports for ski boot fittings πΏ. Speaking of winter gear, Sunday took us to 2nd Time Sports, hunting for more ski equipment. My son still needs boots, so that's on my to-do list this week β .
πΊ Prost: My husband and I treated ourselves to a Sunday afternoon at Prost, enjoying their hefeweizen π» and chicken doner, yum!
π Polka Dot Powerhouse Meeting: I connected with my incredible Dot Sisters at our monthly Polka Dot Powerhouse meeting. Our speaker was Marta Spirk, who shared fantastic insights as an Empowerment Coach for Women Entrepreneurs π.
What are we up to next week?
π Book Club: I'm hosting at my house, where we'll discuss Wicked. I'm a bit behind on my reading schedule π , but I'm thoroughly enjoying revisiting this story and can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts.
π Basketball: My son is starting basketball with Hyland Hills Recreation, which will keep our evenings and Saturdays busy ποΈ—but seeing him doing what he loves makes it all worthwhile π.
π Weekend Plans: We're looking forward to hosting friends this Saturday, followed by some relaxation time ποΈ and progress on our basement project π¨.
π 4-H @ Giggling Life Care Farm: Our 4-H Officer Meetings and Club meeting kicks off next week. It's an exciting time of year as we begin focusing on projects for the August county fair π‘. One of my favorite parts? More animals will be arriving at the farm soon ππ!
That's it for me this week. Wishing you all a wonderful week with your kiddos!
Peace, love, and macaroni,
Susan
