πŸ§‘β€πŸš’ Brighton Fire Rescue District's Kids Academy 2025

The Brighton Fire Rescue District is hosting its Kids Academy this summer, offering children aged 8-11 a glimpse into the life of a firefighter. 

The Kids Academy is an educational and informational program designed to teach children about fire safety, first aid, and bike safety. Participants will spend time with firefighters, learning what it's like at the firehouse.

Camp Breakdown:

  • Day 1: Introductions, 9-1-1, hose deploy, search & rescue
  • Day 2: Bunker gear, 1st Aid, Cooking Safety, Ropes/Knots
  • Day 3: Bike Safety, helmet use, Bike rodeo, brain games
  • Day 4: Combat challenge, hose use, bucket brigade, graduation

  • Date: The academy will take place from June 30 - July 3.
  • Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
  • Location: Station 55 – 15959 Havana, Brighton 80602.
  • Cost: $55.
  • Registration: Registration opens April 1, 2025 and is on a first-come, first-served basis. If your child has already attended the Kids Academy, they cannot attend again, as space is limited.
