Anythink Thornton to Host Hands-On Maker Fair for All Ages

April 16, 2025

Creativity, innovation, and community spirit will converge at Anythink Thornton Community Center during the upcoming Studio Maker Fair, a free, all-ages event taking place on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hosted by The Studio at Anythink, the fair invites attendees to dive into a day full of hands-on exploration, interactive workshops, and a showcase of local makers. The event is designed to ignite the imagination of both beginners and seasoned creators.

Participants can engage in creative activities such as crafting custom candy boxes, designing laser-cut phone stands, and personalizing reusable tote bags. Beyond the workshops, a bustling craft market will feature local artists and entrepreneurs offering unique, handmade goods.

“The Maker Fair is a chance to celebrate our community’s creativity,” said Mo Yang, Studio Manager at Anythink. “Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned creator, there’s something at The Studio to spark your imagination.”

That emphasis on discovery and collaboration is a core part of The Studio’s mission.

“We love seeing people light up when they try something new,” said Cela Janiec, Studio Specialist. “This fair is about exploring, learning, and enjoying the process—as well as uplifting local entrepreneurs and inspiring the next generation of makers.”

In addition to the creative stations, visitors can enjoy food and drink from local vendors and tour The Studio’s resources, which are available to the public year-round.
