The Walk for Lea will be done in honor of Lea Hamel, an extraordinary woman who risked and lost her life in the pursuit of saving others in the 2018 Westminster Apartment Fire. Lea was dedicated to improving the lives of others. She volunteered at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy for four years, helping many children and adults alike. All proceeds of this walk will go to helping build a Bright Space®, a warm and caring place for children and families to heal and grow together, at RMRT, to further help the families who attend. Our Bright Space will be opening on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in honor of Lea on her birthday.
