Description
Each month, join Wings Over the Rockies’ education team as they present a themed early learner program called Little Wings. Each Little Wings session will include a reading of an aerospace children’s book and a hands-on STEAM activity.
Programming is located in the kids zone at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum.
Lets be Space Explorers! In April Little Wings will be taking a trip on a space shuttle to discover the solar system. We will read Mousetronaut by Mark Kelly and then play a game of space soccer! Participants will be encouraged to dress up and will have the chance to get their picture with the Wings astronaut!
Each participant will receive
1) Their own space soccer balloon
2) A picture with the Wings Astronaut – taken by parents
What will your child learn?
1) What a planet is/that we live on a planet
2) That there are different planets
3) Things weigh different amounts on different planets
4) Practice with coordination and fine motor skills
