Publisher's Note - April 9, 2019

April 9, 2019

I hope you all had great weekends and enjoyed the beautiful weather we've been having, enough to make it through this second supposed bomb-cyclone. (We were in Scottsdale for the first one, and I was just a little curious what it was like since we missed it. Not happy to get to experience one!🌀❄)

We had a fun week here in our household. We spent time at the Children's Museum last Thursday, saw Hello Dolly! at the Denver Center on Sunday, and went to the zoo today! My daughter also participated in her Science Fair at our homeschool enrichment program and won first prize for the 2nd/3rd grade category, which was a big event in her life.

*** Heads up for any one heading to Supercross this weekend, they've bumped the start time up one hour, get details here! ***

Whats Happening this Week with Macaroni Kid?

Everything Easter!

If you're looking for a fun Easter Egg Hunt nearby, we've got it on our calendar and in our guide! Everything from flashlight hunts, helicopter drops and special needs hunts - it's in our Easter Guide! We've updated the guide with a few more events that we heard about over the last week, so make sure to check out the new events if you already took a look last week. (A big thanks to our sponsor - Haley Bartlett, Your Aussie Agent!)

One Book Colorado (FREE BOOK!) & Special Storytime at Anythink

The book for One Book Colorado has been announced, and Anythink Brighton will be hosting a special storytime on April 16th with the author! Every four year old gets a free book, so head to one of your local libraries (check the article for locations) to get your copy!

Anythink Announces New Public Art Installation - The Singing Tree

Anythink always does such a great job at enriching our community, and The Singing Tree is just the latest example! I really enjoyed watching the video of how this collaborative public art installation was made. Head over to the article to check out the video too!

Coming Next Week

Here's some of the fun content we have planned for next week:

  • 🌎Earth Day Guide - Events and activities to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd
  • 🎳Review of The Summit - We've been to The Summit a couple times now and have had a great time! They've recently announced some specials to make your family fun more affordable, I'll have these in my article too!
  • 🥣Northglen Food Truck Festival - This festival is coming up over Mother's Day weekend (5/3-5/5) and is always a lot of fun for families! We'll have a booth during one day of the festival, so stop by and say hello if you're there!
