Publisher's Note - July 13th - Kooza and Renaissance Festival

July 13, 2023

Hello Macaronians!! We finally got a week with no thunderstorms, did you get out and enjoy the heat? I hope you used all of our fun summer guides to find places to cool off!

What were we up to this week?

We got to see Cirque du Soleil Kooza at the Ball arena last Thursday night during the premier event. The show was amazing and I can't highly recommend it enough! (If you want to go too head here for discounted tickets!)

My son and husband went camping down at Chatfield this weekend, and my daughter and I stayed home for a girls weekend. I hosted my book club here on Friday, we discussed Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies written by Michael Auseillo. I'm glad I read it, but it was a tough read! We had some really great conversations about life and death together though. On Saturday my daughter and I had an Anne with an E marathon and finished the series. It was so good, and I'm so glad we were able to watch it together!

Sunday we spent the entire day at the Renaissance Festival! It's one of my favorite days in the summer and the kids love it too. We have our favorite activities, and we switched some things up this year and it made for a much more pleasant day. Take a look at the post below for how it went!

And the rest of the week has been a total blur! I don't know what's going on, but it has felt like a whirlwind, and we don't even have that much stuff going on! Anyone else feeling like the week has just gotten out of control? Hopefully it calms down a bit, I need my sanity back (or it's just a good reminder to better edit my expectations for the day, and make more time for breaks!)

Next week I'll have a cousin in town, so we're excited to visit with her. And the kids will be doing a couple days of camp with Chess Camp of the Rockies, which should be a fun experience for them! I also have my Supper Club gathering and our theme is pizza, so we'll be making lots of pizzas in some of the members' pizza ovens, yum!

I hope you've had a wonderful week and made some fun summer memories with your kids (and taken time for yourself!) I'll see you in your inboxes next week!

Peace, love, and macaroni,

Susan
